Fee Information

Irene’s current fees are in line with the recommended guidelines set out by the PAA and BC PA. The fee is exempt from GST as Irene is a Health Services Provider. Cash, Cheque, etransfer, and most major credit cards are now accepted.

Please ensure that you confirm the requirements and limits of your coverage before making your next appointment. 

Your insurance policy or employee benefit program may provide coverage. Arrangements for payment must be made ahead of time. The client will be responsible for cost of each 50 minute session and/or each 15 min increments beyond that time frame when required. Irene does not direct bill to insurance companies unless a contract with that provider has been prearranged. You must submit your own claim to your insurance company in most cases. Most agencies require a registration number, Irene’s number is #2299 (CPBC), and is stamped on all receipts. Many agencies require a doctor’s prescription for psychological counselling before they will cover the fees. Some agencies will not bill service providers directly

2 business days notice must be given for the cancellation of appointments otherwise, those who provide less than than 2 business days notice will be charged 50% of the session fee, and those who provide less than than 1 business day notice will be charged 100% of the session fee. As there is a high demand for services, your time is reserved exclusively for you and therefore is not available to others.

What are two business days?

  • Monday Appointments: By Thursday
  • Tuesday Appointments: By Friday
  • Wednesday appointments: By Monday
  • Thursday appointments: By Tuesday
  • Friday appointments: By Wednesday

And remember, stat holidays will shift these days by one day.

Arriving late to your appointment (10 minutes after the scheduled time) is considered a no-show and you will be charged for the full counseling session.

We use the booking system, Jane, for the business. This platform will be taken as the correct date and time of appointment. Jane sends email and text message confirmation and reminders; however, these are considered a courtesy.

Individuals who cancel, rebook within the 2 business day period or no show for 2 appointments may be referred to other providers.
